The Governing Council has approved grants worth a total of 930,546 euros for the care of older people in the municipalities of Fuente Alamo and Sewer through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS).
The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration signed an agreement with the City of Fuente Alamo in the amount of 599,774 euros for the care and elder care through the reservation and occupation of seats on the San Agustin residence, located on the street Ronda de Poniente.
The agreement with this consistory includes the creation of 16 residential places and comprehensive care for elderly in the municipality.
The Ministry signed another agreement with the City Sewer for a grant of 330,771 euros towards the creation of 24 places arranged for the care of dependent elderly internal Virgen de la Salud, located in the San Fernando street of this town .
The aim of these agreements is to meet the comprehensive care of older people dependent on these municipalities.
When residents are admitted, the technicians will conduct an interdisciplinary study and evaluation as a basis for a Personal Care Program which will include actions to achieve and maintain the highest attainable standard of health, personal autonomy and social integration.
In addition to the basic services of accommodation, meals, laundry and personal care, residents enjoy social care through a program of socio-cultural activities.
Attention will also be programs and occupational rehabilitation.
