The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the Mayor of Fuente Alamo, María Antonia Conesa, today inaugurated the new Area Youth of the county, a facility intended to develop the activities of youth associations in the locality.
The youth center, which is located on the first floor of the building of 'multiple uses and Chamber of Agriculture', covers an area of 383 square meters distributed in different units of work and leisure.
The Youth Space will house the office of the Youth Council, a Secretariat and reception area, a computer room and multiple uses, a classroom for workshops, a playground and other projections.
It also has space for exhibitions and particulars.
Veronica Lopez said that "from the Youth Space will promote youth associations and encourage the participation of youth in the political, social, cultural and sporting."
The new infrastructure will serve the more than 3,500 youth in the municipality and the associations.
The budget for the furnishing and equipping of the facility is 100,000 euros, which have been funded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute of Youth in the Region.
Currently, there are 18 youth spaces scattered throughout the region and in addition opened in Fuente Alamo, are in operation in Abarán, Aguilas, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Balsicas White, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cehegín, Jumilla , Las Torres de Cotillas, Molina de Segura, Mula, Pliego Puerto Lumbreras Totana, Ulea and Yecla.
