The Directorate General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs developed this past year, 18 basic social skills courses involving 220 people.
This work continues this year, as evidenced by the course in Fuente Alamo closed today by the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, involving 15 students, nine of them are Roma.
The director was joined by the Mayor of Fuente Alamo, María Antonia Conesa, and CEO of Pension Program Evaluation and Inclusion of IMAS, Juan Castaño.
This course, which began last November, had 180 hours and the various technical disciplines were taught by Columbares Association.
Of the 15 participants who started the course, 13 is completed and have now received the respective certificates.
Since the beginning of these courses, the Ministry has invested 360,000 euros, which should be added the municipal contributions to facilitate access to these people without sufficient financial resources for such activities.
The objective of these training activities is to promote social skills acquisition and employment, which include introduction to computer science and health education.
All aimed at social integration and, above all, to finding work.
