The works, which have a lead time of ten months, provide for the refurbishment of the track and the firm and the construction of a bridge over the ravine of La Murta, in Fuente Alamo.
The construction of the new bridge, whose budget amounts to EUR 656,000, will begin next November, while work on improving the road will be awarded before the end of the year by an amount in excess of four million euros.
In addition, the Governing Council has declared the occupation of the land urgently needed for the preparation of this road which currently supports a daily average of 1,500 vehicles, with 21 percent of heavy amount intensified with the entry into service from the airport.
On the other hand, it also approved the urgent occupation of land by F-21, from Torre Pacheco Los Martínez del Puerto, between mile markers 9.650 and 11.300.
The move would enable the improvement of the track in a section considered concentration of accidents due to the existence of curves with small radius, so that the necessary work be undertaken to incorporate central lane left turn and speed change lane for turns right.
Also, the intersection will be adapted to the changes in meaning.
