The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, through the Directorate General for Transport and Highways, will build a new bridge over the ravine of Fuente Alamo, whose budget amounts to 935,610 euros.
The design of the works is under contract, so that, in short, will start the works.
The construction of this new bridge over the ravine of Fuente Alamo has been given by the own town, where it aims to provide more fluid to traffic and pedestrians in the area.
Furthermore, with this intervention, according to the City Council will improve communication for much of the town, where the population increase in recent years has been remarkable.
The new bridge links the ring road east of Fuente Alamo in the MU-601 road that leads to the International Airport of Murcia.
Project Description
The work involves the construction of a bridge over the ravine and an ellipse-shaped plaza that serves as the road junction adjacent and, in turn, order traffic.
Thus, using a completely new path, in addition to paving the road and sidewalk, will be developed for curbs and islands, while achieving improved lighting throughout the plaza and bridge.
Thus, the new bridge will have in the transverse direction of a lane in each direction of movement of 3.50 meters, two bike lanes 1.50 m each in each direction and two external sidewalks six feet wide for pedestrian .
On the construction of this bridge on the boulevard de Fuente Alamo director general of Transport and Highways, Carmen Sandoval, said it will strengthen the road safety area, where average daily traffic on the roads is high, so rated this project, part of the Rural Development Plan International Airport in the Region of Murcia, as "necessary and timely action."
