In the next plenary session to be held on Thursday, July 26, the first mayor of the City of Fuente Alamo, Maria Antonia Conesa, plans to file a motion in which Mayor expressed his resignation to pay extra for Christmas.
The reason that has prompted the mayor to the waiver has been the recent action taken by the Ministry of Finance to remove the bonus from December to all officials.
"I believe that this suppression is a measure painful for all public employees but I understand that, together, we must make the sacrifice and effort required to move the country forward. So I want to show my solidarity and support them all."
The mayor will also use the motion to ask the other members of the municipal corporation to conduct a similar effort "so that together display a sense of unity and coherence with everything that happened," said Maria Antonia.
Moreover, the first mayor of Fuente Alamo goes one step further, and as manifest in the next plenary session, the amount from his bonus "will go to cover the basic needs of those disadvantaged families in the municipality whose parents are in unemployed. "
