Next Thursday, June 23, the mayor of Fuente Alamo, Maria Antonia Conesa, will announce the allocation of council seats by holding an extraordinary plenary session.
The novelty in this legislature contemplated is the addition of three new councils concerning the areas of "Citizen," "Building Maintenance and municipal offices" and the "Mobile Park, Markets and Cemeteries."
The former mayor has already secured that, being aware of the social reality of the municipality and the bad situation they are living for workers and employers the same, from this moment and during the four year term, "will establish a policy austerity to help mitigate the situation. "
Thus, the first step taken will focus on establishing a plan for rationalization of current spending, approving a 40% cut in the remuneration provided to the municipal corporation with respect to the previous legislature, and the reduction 33% in the number of councilors released.
An initiative that, according to the mayor of Fuente Alamo, start with "belt-tightening themselves," and will reduce municipal spending "without neglecting, at any time, the quality of life and expanding services to the citizens of this country" .
The next step is to consider convening a meeting with the different main sectors of the local economy such as agricultural and livestock sectors are the food industry and industrial and commercial area.
"The idea is to create an interface between public and private sector to discuss various issues affecting them today and implement the necessary solutions to help improve, among other things, the level of unemployment in the area or speed procedures in the licensing and other administrative matters, "said the mayor.
