The Technology Park of Fuente Alamo (PTFA) and Maxam company have signed an agreement to develop business cooperation projects, which seeks, among other objectives, advisory activities, research and training and development of cooperation projects.
The signing ceremony took place this morning at the headquarters of the Institute of Development and managers have been signed Juan José Beltrán, director and president of Info Management Council PTFA and Amalio Garrido Escudero, Director General Corporate Technology Quality and Environment MAXAM, being present at the event, also the director of the PTFA, Joaquín Juan Aguera.
This agreement, facilitated by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, is part of the activities of the Technology Park designed to promote cooperation between enterprises and generators of knowledge and research as universities, technology centers and research, thereby contributing development of technology companies in the Region of Murcia.
The agreement also provides for joint actions between the PTFA and the company Maxam on issues such as establishing partnerships with firms in the business park, conduct or co-financing of studies and projects of common interest, cooperation projects in developing outreach programs and social awareness and the use of the facilities of the park itself.
MAXAM is an industrial and services group which operates on a global scale, which develops, manufactures and markets civil explosives and initiation systems for mining, quarrying and infrastructure; cartridges and gunpowder for sporting purposes, and products for the defense industry.
It also supplies the key raw materials in the chemical activity of nitro both MAXAM internal needs and for sale to third parties.
The Alamo Source Technology Park has 18 companies operating which employ around 480 people.
Companies located in this space have a clear focus on innovation and technological development.
They are also represented in the park at the University of Murcia and Cartagena University and the Naval Technology Center and the Sea, through the development of cooperation projects and making effective the relationship with business.
