Public Works has funded the drafting of the revitalization and enhancement of the landscape, including new spaces for leisure and reforestation with native species
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, has supported the drafting of the project for the improvement and revitalization of the hamlet of Majar de Gracia, in Fuente Alamo, including the creation of new routes scenic and recreational areas, improving the viewpoints and reforesting the area with native species.
The project aims to revitalize this natural area, which covers an area of 717,436 meters square and is located in the hamlet of La Pinilla.
It is a wooded area, mostly occupied by Aleppo pines from afforestation.
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said that "the main use of this site is to provide leisure and recreation to residents of the municipality and any visitor that comes close to these mountains, which form an essential part of natural heritage Region.
These grants, awarded by the Ministry to the municipalities in Murcia, are intended to carry out actions for improvement and conservation of the different landscapes of the Region of Murcia and reach 70 percent of the total budget.
To achieve the goal of preserving and improving the landscape, have proposed different actions, such as the adequacy of existing roads and the opening of new routes, clearing and land clearing, revegetation with native species, paving and protection of viewpoints and information boards and signage panels disclosure.
In addition, it also includes the installation of necessary equipment such as benches, tables and toilets, among other things.
