Since 1999, the municipality of Fuente Alamo City install a Bethlehem in the House of Culture with 213 figures, 25 cm each, and created especially for the master craftsman Jesus Griñán.
A small group of people from Fuente Alamo are those who, year after year, are responsible for assembling this crib down to the smallest detail and introducing in turn, a whole new element into the Christmas spirit.
For Jesus Lorente, one of the organizers of this monumental representation, the particular feature is the lighting: "This crib is made to be seen in perfect darkness and light are the very village which separate the sunset falling the night. "
For this representation of 60 square meters have been used different materials such as plaster, linen bags, cork, textiles and even a water ionizer to give more mysticism at the time of the birth of Christ.
Jesus Lorente recognizes that "embark on an adventure like this means sacrificing many things like spend more time with family or settle into the couch after a hard day's work, but the end result is worth."
And that for this crib is ready for opening day, it was necessary and a half months of work and many hours of searching for information, "before starting the preparations, seeks to document the architecture of the time and clothing worn, the only way to get more realism to what we represent, "said Jesus.
The Bethlehem Municipal de Fuente Alamo, awarded by the Association Nativity Scene Makers of Murcia, for seven consecutive years, will open next Sunday, December 19 at 20.30 pm in the House of Culture (Exhibit Hall José Hernández).
