To meet the food needs of the most disadvantaged groups in the municipality, the council of Social Policy has been reconvened at the Municipal Auditorium to more than one hundred people ready to receive a box of staples like rice, cereal, milk, pasta or cheese.
Workers in Social Services City of Fuente Alamo have been responsible for selecting the beneficiary families given their precarious economic situation and the number of household members.
The allocation schedule is determined weekly and, in this third phase that began in mid-October and will end later this year, benefiting more than 600 groups.
The Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA) under the Food Aid Plan 2010, has been commissioned to distribute these food through the Red Cross humanitarian organization and the City of Fuente Alamo.
The balance of this third stage ends with the cast of 12,800 kilos of food.
