The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, has supported the City of Fuente Alamo to 500,432 euros for the implementation of a comprehensive public space in the center of town.
This new space will be chaired by the Parish of St. Augustine, one of the oldest churches in the region.
The project exalt the architectural value of the Baroque style church recently restored XVI century, History and Heritage in the process to be declared of Cultural Interest.
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said that "the new plaza will articulate the heart of Fuente Alamo and that, besides the church, on this space lie concerning this locality, as the town hall and shop traditional. "
The performance slightly modified the existing layout of the streets adjacent to the expanded space for pedestrian use.
