Around 40 different tree units will be planted next Sunday in the La Fuente de Alamo Candelaria polygon due to the activity that the municipality has organized for the neighbors.
The objective of this type of activities is "to promote responsibility for the environment and to educate in the sustainability and care of nature," said the mayor of the town, Antonio Jess Garca Conesa.
In this way, the activity is aimed at both young and old and no registration is required.
The trees that have been chosen for the plantation are robust, withstand high temperatures and dry seasons, easily adaptable to all types of soils, simple pruning and leafy.
The species that will grow in the polygon are: seven units of oak (Grevillea robusta), seven units of the fire tree (Brachychiton acerifolius), seven units of jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia), ten units of tipa (Tipuana tipu), three units of false pepper (Schinus molle), three units of privet (Ligustrum lucidum) and three units of the Canarian pine (Pinus canariensis).
The activity will take place at 12 noon and then the City Council will invite the participating families to a giant paella.
