The Local Police of Fuente Álamo honored today its patron San Gregorio with the celebration of a homily in the parish of San Agustín and the subsequent act of delivery of distinctions in the Municipal Museum.

The act has been attended by civil, military and police authorities, among which is the new chief admiral of the Arsenal of Cartagena and native of the town of Fuente Alamo, Aniceto Rosique Nieto.

After the mass, the head of the local police force of Fuente Álamo, Francisco Javier Martínez Sánchez, reviewed the actions carried out during this year, such as the more than 7,000 calls attended and the almost 2,500 interventions in citizen security.

The head of the body highlighted the efforts of all the agents and stated that "the objectives that were set last year are paying off to a closer police force that tries to anticipate the problems".

For its part, the mayor of the municipality of Fuente Álamo, Antonio Jesús García Conesa, thanked the Local Police for their daily work to ensure the safety of the people and also the Civil Guard of Fuente Álamo for the successive dismantling of groups organized before the last wave of robberies.

The mayor has entrusted support to the entire police force "not only moral and administrative, but should also extend to material support", in reference to the acquisition of the new all-terrain vehicle that is part of the fleet as of today and that "It adapts to the needs of the police", according to Francisco Javier Martínez.

As usual, the congratulations have been delivered to the agents who have excelled this year for their interventions in the municipality and which have been a great achievement for the safety of all the residents of Fuente Álamo and its districts.

The winners were: the corporals Manuel García Caballero, Antonio Martínez García, Juan José Marín Navarro, Domingo García Cuestas and Alfonso Ros Hernández;

and the agents Manuel David Ruiz Rebollo, Juan Hernández Acosta and Ramón García Saura.

The celebration has ended with a Spanish wine for all attendees.
