Dozens of residents and merchants from the municipality of Fuente lamo voluntarily collaborate in the development of more than 1,200 masks for health professionals at the Fuente lamo health center, nursing homes and for the security forces.
An initiative that has been launched by the Department of Social Policy, Equality, Health, Consumption, Employment and Training of the City of Fuente lamo, in collaboration with Civil Protection of Fuente lamo and volunteer staff of the City.
This is a chain of solidarity that has begun with the supply of material donated by the stores in Fuente lamo, with which dozens of residents have voluntarily made the masks that have already been delivered to the different professionals.
The councilor for social policy, Lidia Moreno, has stated that "solidarity is a hallmark of the Fuentealameros that these days are turning not only to the production of masks, for which all expectations have been exceeded, but also in compliance with the recommendations and measures adopted as a result of the implementation of the state of alarm throughout the country. "
In addition, the city council has reinforced the disinfection device through two specialized companies.
On the one hand, Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) is carrying out daily street disinfection, especially in the areas with the greatest influx of people where there are open shops for food and services;
and adjacent streets, as well as garbage collection vehicles and street cleaning, in addition to containers.
On the other hand, the city council has contracted the services of another specialized company that is in charge of disinfecting all municipal public buildings: schools, health centers, culture houses, museums, etc., both inside and exterior through the use of specific machinery and manually in those corners and furniture that cannot be done with machinery.
This has been reported by the councilor for municipal, interior and personal public services, Juan Pedro Vera, who added that the departure of tractors is being managed, made available by residents of Fuente lamo who want to collaborate, altruistically, in disinfection from all streets of the municipality.
A task coordinated by FCC that will start as soon as the rains in the municipality subside.
The Fuente lamo City Council appreciates the collaboration of all the residents and reminds of the importance of complying with all the recommendations that the security forces indicate in order to stop the advance of this pandemic.
