The Mobile Consulate of Ecuador opened its doors during the day today in Fuente Álamo, in which it will be the first of the two times that it will travel to the municipality to facilitate the procedures for its compatriots, thanks to the collaboration provided by the City Council.
This was advanced by the consul of Ecuador in Murcia, Daniel Eduardo Peñaranda Buele, during the opening of the mobile office, in an act in which he was accompanied by Mayor of Fuente Álamo, Juana María Martínez;
and the first deputy mayor and councilor of Finance and Heritage, José Antonio Oliver.
The Councilor for Social Policy, Lidia Moreno;
the Councilor for Transparency and Citizen Participation, Mauricio José Cánovas, and the president of the Ecuadorian Association residing in the Region of Murcia, representing the Ecuadorian community of Fuente Álamo, Humberto Álvarez.
The mayor has made available to the consulate the services and facilities of the Consistory, which "is always available to all Ecuadorians as neighbors of Fuente Álamo."
Thus, he stressed that the Ecuadorian is the second largest community in the municipality, after the Moroccan.
According to data from the municipal registry, 591 born in Ecuador and 887 born in Ecuador with dual citizenship are registered in Fuente Álamo.
"We want this service of the Government of Ecuador to continue in time," since "it facilitates various consular procedures and avoids travel to other cities," said Juana María Martínez.
For its part, the consul thanked the City Council for the good reception of this service and its full collaboration.
He also said that the mobile consulate aims to "bring the consulate services to all Ecuadorian citizens of Fuente Álamo to facilitate their day to day and offer them all kinds of information about programs and services."
"We expect that no Ecuadorian is unprotected in the Region of Murcia," said Daniel Eduardo Peñaranda, who had a memory for the recent episode of 'cold drop', lamenting the damage caused and highlighting the more than 200 Ecuadorian families affected in Los Alcazares .
The Mobile Consulate, located in some offices at the headquarters of the Agrarian Chamber provided by the City Council of Fuente Álamo, will be serving the public on Saturday between 12:00 and 18:00.
Among the services provided are the issuance and delivery of passports, civil registration, registration or changes of address in the National Electoral Council (CNE), or free mortgage legal advice.
