Citizens have denounced today that the government team "delays the presentation of local budgets, which during the last three years were approved in December thanks to our support, because we fear that it wants to approve them after the elections with a supposed absolute majority."
This was expressed by the local orange spokesman, José Antonio Oliver, who added that "it seems that the local PSOE wants to govern in the manner of Pedro Sánchez, pulling credit transfers and extended accounts before consensus and agreement to move forward the budget "
Oliver regretted that despite the fact that throughout the legislature Fuente Álamo has been one of the few municipalities in the region that has had approved budgets and ready to run at the beginning of the year, thanks to the support of Citizens, "this year the mayor , Antonio Jesús García Conesa, has put on his jacket as a candidate and has forgotten that he is the mayor of all the neighbors, and not only of those who vote for the PSOE. "
Not having a budget in time and form generates uncertainty, a negative signal that can end up affecting the confidence of companies and consumers, damaging the investments of some and the small and medium commerce of the municipality.
"Every year we include necessary items for our neighbors, although the PSOE ends up not executing the vast majority of them, not even those signed by the mayor himself," Oliver explained.
In his opinion, "this breach of the budgetary items of Citizens is what leads the mayor not to bring the budgets this year, because he senses that we will not give his support, knowing that he has not kept his word."
"It is necessary that there be budgets made by all the municipal groups so that Fuente Álamo continues to function properly regardless of who governs from June," the local spokesman has concluded.
