● Training reduces the rate to 0.66% in the urban IBI after verifying that in the last three years, an extra 1.6 million have been collected for this local tax
● "It is time to return part of your effort to the neighbors, the money should be in their pockets and not in the account of the election campaign of the PSOE government team," says local spokesman, Jos Antonio Oliver
Ciudadanos has managed to get Fuente lamo's residents to pay up to 15% less in their Real Estate Tax receipts - known as 'contribution' - after their motion was approved to reduce to 0.66% the rate that applies to urban receipts and keep the rustic ones at 0.63%.
"We believe it was time to start giving back to the neighbors part of the effort they have made during the crisis," said local spokesman, Jos Antonio Oliver, who stressed that this reduction "is not going to be any headache for the municipal accounts, since during the last three years IBI has been collected over 1.6 million euros above the budgeted amount.
It is time to return this amount to the neighbors, since otherwise it would simply be to provide extra funds to the electoral campaign that the City wants to carry out the PSOE.
Oliver stressed that this extra money "began to be used in non-priority place arrangements, increased subsidies to all associations or increased overtime pay to officials, expenses that clearly have a clearly electoral profile.
We believe that this money should be in the pockets of the neighbors, as we reflected in the electoral program with which we present ourselves in the 2015 elections. "
According to the data provided by the Consistory itself, in 2017 we faced liquidations outside the register, which meant an extra income for the City Council of 1.1 million euros in the voluntary period.
In 2018, as a result of the cadastral processes of regularization and incorporation to tax of indispensable properties for agricultural and livestock activity, there has been an increase in the standard of the rustic IBI of 500,000 euros, and a full quota is estimated. of collection of something more than 6 million euros, that will remain approximately in little more than 5 million of income, since it is not collected everything in voluntary period, neither manage to collect all the receipts.
"These figures have consolidated a surplus of local accounts in 2017 reached 580,000 euros, so there is no excuse to continue squeezing the neighbors, it is time to return the tax effort they have made in recent years," reiterated Oliver.
