The Governing Council has approved, at the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, allocate 449,631 euros to improve the safety of the Greenway Cartagena field, which takes advantage of an old railway between Totana and Cartagena in the municipality of Fuente Alamo.
The objective is to facilitate the crossing of the Vía Verde with the RM-E11 highway by means of a high pass over the aforementioned road.
It is a metal footbridge three meters wide and 45 meters long.
Likewise, other adaptation works will be carried out.
In this way, the security and functionality of the 100,000 users that, according to the forecasts, will transit annually through this channel is improved.
The action has a term of execution of four months and is included in the Operational Program FEDER Región de Murcia 2014-2020.
