Winners of the XLII International Painting Competition Villa de Fuente Álamo, Eli Garcia and Cristina Gamon, hand picked artist Pedro Cano and the mayor of the town, Maria Antonia Conesa, their corresponding cash prizes of 6,000 and 3,000 euros for works that have received more support by the jury of this competition, "The Great Odaliscat" and "Infinity 44" respectively.
The event took place in the hall of the Town Hall with the presence of family, friends and authors of the finalists of this year.
The painter Pedro Cano supported by their presence the international projection of this contest praising Medina Circle members and the various municipal corporations "for 42 years have continued to focus on culture."
Both winners also received a folder with a blank sheet so that, at the request of the City of Fuente Álamo be drawing on a drawing of the same subject and free technique that must be paid into the municipal pictorial file.

The director of the Museum Foundation Pedro Cano, Maria Carmen Sanchez - Red, praised the quality of the hundred of entries and how difficult it had been to make this choice.
In the end, the selected frames meet the mission of "telling the history and evolution of painting over time going to the abstraction of manners."
The mayor of the town, Maria Antonia Conesa, publicly thanked the painter Pedro Cano blanqueño support the International Painting Competition and "the love you've always shown by Fuente Alamo and the fuentealameros".
He also took the opportunity to publicly congratulate the artist on his appointment as the Illustrious Academic Pontifical Pontifical Academy of Fine Arts and Letters of the Virtuosi of the Pantheon.
