Nearly one hundred people have benefited this year of training activities carried out by 'Abraham Project'

The managing director of the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), Leopoldo Navarro, yesterday handed diplomas to ten people at risk of social exclusion who have completed basic computer workshop and employment orientation given by the association "Project Abraham" in the town of Fuente Alamo.

Navarro was joined at the event, held at the Agricultural Center Fuente �lamo, by the mayor, Maria Antonia Conesa;

and Councillor of Social Services, Gin�s Garc�a Francisco, as well as leaders of the association 'Project Abraham'.

This course, Navarro said, "is intended to provide them with essential concepts, knowledge management to information management and technical advice and guidance for active job search."

For this reason, stressed the role played by this organization to promote social equality of opportunity.

Since last January, and are close to a hundred people from different towns in the region that have benefited from training initiatives as well as other activities of the association 'Project Abraham'.

In this regard, he recalled intervention programs and volunteerism in the areas of social care, socio attention and care of children and highlighted the pick up of clothes, shoes and toys.

The managing director of IMAS recalled that "one of the priorities of the regional government is to continue promoting social integration and equal opportunities from a minimum training and knowledge so that certain groups have access to a job and ensuring its autonomy social, personal and professional development. "

It also stressed "the important work" they are doing, since 1997, the professionals and volunteers of the association in different parts of the Autonomous Community to help those who suffer serious problems of exclusion and lack of resources.
