Staff from the departments of Education and Social Policy presented this morning Prevention Campaign absenteeism and drop the directors of the various primary schools and secondary schools are located in the municipality.
The goal, as in previous editions, is to achieve greater involvement of students in their school duties and, especially, in the continuing assistance to class.
This has been established four priority action areas that start with a sensitization and awareness campaign aimed at students but also the parents themselves as figures of particular importance to the motivation of their children.
For this reason, it is envisaged the creation of a School of fathers / mothers in each IES taught by a psychologist who specializes in family therapy.
Moreover also work on the establishment of a Commission of absenteeism and drop to coordinate the work between all stakeholders involved in this intervention (political representatives of schools, social services, local police ...) as well, performing certain individual performances such as creating alternative classrooms to truant student expulsion.
The meeting held at the Agricultural Center Fuente Alamo and which also attended by the Councillor for Education, Juana M ª Muñoz, has ended with the ultimate aim of all schools attendees to collaborate in this fight and, of course, the conclusion of Interdisciplinary Seminar II to address the trends, significant data and suggestions for improvement.
