Soon, the City of Fuente Alamo sign an agreement with ARGEM energy efficiency (Regional Agency for Energy Management) to achieve a reduction in power consumption across the municipality and contribute to the preservation of the environment and reducing emissions greenhouse gases.
The performance measures contained in this agreement and will join the previously adopted by the City of Fuente Alamo and are, among others, the following:
Installing lamps and low energy in street lighting
Selective shutdown of lamps for hours and areas.
Reduction of power consumption in municipal buildings.
Promotion of renewable energy (through administrative concession of public space for the installation of solar panels on the Technology Park)
Installing solar thermal plant in the heated pool.
For this purpose, is preparing a specification to invite tenders for the comprehensive maintenance service and supply of electricity for public lighting which involves an efficient management of all the squares and points of light.
Similarly, also perform monitoring and control in the invoice management, optimizing the current contracts, adjusting contracted power and tracking monthly consumption of each control panel to detect excessive consumption or those who can verify be targets for reduction.
These measures, included in that action protocol, involving a saving of 20% of electricity consumption compared to previous years.
