Antonio Jess Garca Conesa, Mayor of Fuente Alamo, held a meeting with representatives of Sareb, -Society of Assets from the Banking Restructuring - owner of the Golf Resort 'Hacienda del lamo', located in our municipality. One of the largest in the Campo de Cartagena and is also considered one of the best golf courses in the Region of Murcia.
The meeting, developed in the municipal facilities, presented the general lines on which will turn the project of future that has Sareb to reposition and energize the resort.
Specifically, the entity works on the reopening of the hotel and the commercialization of 100 tourist houses.
Together these actions will involve an investment of about six million euros.
At the meeting, Sareb representatives expressed confidence that their investment plans in the resort will contribute to economic recovery and job creation in the area.
In this sense, it should be noted that Sareb is an entity created in November 2012 in the framework of the restructuring of the financial sector.
In its creation, it received assets worth 50,781 million euros from financial institutions that received public aid, of which 80% were loans and credits to the developer and 20% real estate.
In the region of Murcia, Sareb currently has 6.7% of its real estate assets, among which is the Golf Resort 'Hacienda del lamo', as well as other tourist resorts such as Saurines Golf Resort ) The Mar Menor Resort.
