The 'Pedro Pop' has opened its registration period for those groups or soloists, from the Region of Murcia, interested in participating in what is one of the benchmark events of the music scene and one of the 'deans' in terms of competitions musicals, because this year it is celebrating its XXVII edition.
The contest will take place on June 21 in Las Palas, on the occasion of the patron saint festivities in honor of San Pedro that celebrates this district.
The contest, which was recovered by the City of Fuente Alamo in 2018 after 16 years without being held, is endowed with a first prize of 1,000 euros, and a second of 500 euros.
Those interested in participating, non-professionals and adults, can register for free until 23:59 on May 24, by sending an email to the address pedropoplaspalas@gmail.com.
You must attach the contestants' information, the title of the two songs to be interpreted, current photography, brief biographical summary and the audio of the themes submitted to the contest in wav or mp3 format.
Ten groups or soloists will be selected from all the candidates, who will interpret two topics live, with the first and second prize winners being the groups that an independent jury considers.
This contest, fruit of the initiative of young paleros of different generations, came to have regional relevance and became a benchmark for the pop-rock groups of the region, before 2002 was celebrated for the last time.
