The mayor of Fuente Álamo asks the CHS to expedite the water concessions of the irrigators of Valdelentisco (18/12/2018)

The mayor of Fuente Alamo, Antonio Jesus Garcia Conesa, met today with the president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Mario Urrea, who moved the need for the basin organization to resolve as soon as possible the water concessions without regularize of the irrigators of Valdelentisco.

Producers of Fuente lamo, the Murcia Field and Alhama de Murcia, integrated in the Association of Irrigators of Valdelentisco, signed with Acuamed agreements for the acquisition of water from the desalination plant.

These agreements remain unregulated by the CHS and have been the result of sanctions by the basin organization.

Garca Conesa reiterated his support for the irrigators of Valdelentisco and explained the importance of consolidating the allocation of water resources in the municipality, since "it will mean an improvement for the local economy, as agriculture is one of the fundamental pillars of Fuente lamo "

Also, the mayor asked the president of CHS recovery of the channeling project of the Rambla de Las Palas, which every time it is flooded by torrential rains leaves this hamlet incommunicado, preventing access to CEIP San Pedro.

At the same time, Garca Conesa demanded actions on the southern slopes of the Sierra de Carrascoy, with the aim of laminating the water avenues and preventing the area from being flooded as a result of heavy rainfall.

In this way, it would be avoided that runoff from the Sierra de Carrascoy, ending at the ravine of Fuente lamo, which later becomes the Albujn, flood the slums of San Cayetano and Corverica.
