The tradition and typical customs of the area are combined with shows, championships and events for all ages
The Fiestas of Fuente lamo today give the kick-off with an extensive program of activities for children, young and old that can enjoy for ten days, until September 2.
Numerous artists will visit the municipality, free of charge, to offer concerts aimed at all ages.
Thus, next Friday August 31, at 22:00 in the Municipal Auditorium, the singer Rozaln will perform at Fuente lamo, along with Jos de Rico, on Thursday, August 30, the international DJ Gonçalo, on September 1, and Los Brincos, on September 2.
Spectacles remember, tributes to Lola Flores or the Mojinos Escozios, orchestras of recognized national prestige or the traditional lamo Rock complete the poster.
The latter is held tomorrow and has a price of five euros per ticket.
Around half a hundred clubs gather every year to also revive the tradition and typical customs of the area: the trovos, the concentration of classic cars, the Roco or the mythical parade of costumes.
The big day of the town, on August 28, commemorates St. Augustine, the patron of these festivals.
Each corner is filled with fun and joy, a festive atmosphere that neighbors and visitors enjoy through the multitude of sports tournaments, attractions and inflatables for the little ones, contest pots and cakes, water activities in the Municipal Pool and shows that happen during the day.
When night falls, it's time to dance and participate in the "rope-strip" between clubs, which this year is celebrated on Friday August 31.
"In the Department of Celebrations always try to develop events so that everyone can celebrate with us these days.In addition, the neighbors of Fuente Alamo are very involved and are the ones who really give life to these holidays," explained the Councilor of Celebrations and Sports, Marisa Cifo.
